Left Pattaya early in the morning to get to the airport to pick Curtis up. People here in Thailand really suck at managing time. The driver was late picking us up to go to the bus station, then we got to the airport way too early. They said that it'll take 2-3 hrs... but it only took 1.5 hrs if even! Anyways, finally picked Curtis up and we went back to Lub D to drop our shit off. Once everything was settled, we headed off to the Weekend Market... the weather has been super humid and hot. Lots of people there to buy cheap stuff. Things were actually super cheap... but didn't really want to buy anymore... it really was just like another night market, but during the day time... it was fun and interesting. Lots of junk to buy. The good thing about backpacking is that you're on a budget, and you have limited space... so you're less likely to buy useless junk since you have to lug it around! A couple of hours later, Curtis and I had about enough of the Weekend Market... it was crowded and hot and I was sweating like I was doing hot yoga! So as we left, Steph bought some more earrings... heres the funny thing, Steph has been having noodle soup for breakfast, lunch, and dinner almost everyday!
We headed to MBK after the market for some dinner. Was going to go to a restaurant, but thought meh! Went up to the 6th floor of MBK for some cheap Thai food. Got some pad thai, papaya salad, and curry! Probably one of the more decent meals I've had so far. Looked around a bit more then went back to the hostel. Curtis went straight to bed since he was too tired. We would have gone out, but I wanted a night in... so just hung out at the lobby with a couple of guys and then called it a night. Some other guys went to RCA and stuff, asked us to go with them but I decided against it.
The next day (July 13th), we woke up early... but took us a while to get ready to go to the Floating Market. Took the skytrain to the ferry, then took the ferry across to the other side.. went to the bus station to take the bus (#79). Got to the floating market and was really disappointed. It wasnt anything that we thought it was. They were only selling lunch/food.. no grocery shopping on the river. Then we found out that we went to the shitty one. Oh well, another time. We had lunch there... it was pretty good except way too hot to really be able to enjoy it. The floating market was called Ta-Ling Floating Market. It was funny that they have fish floating in the canal and they catch them to cook them. Ha ha ha, dumb fish!
For the rest of the day, we went to more buddha temples, took the tuk tuks. I started to get really annoyed because we have to keep bargaining, getting super sick of it. The last tuk tuk driver just left us at the Big Buddha (cant remember what its called) and so we have to take another one. The new tuk tuk was the source of our misery for the next couple of days. Fucking piece of shit, if I ever see him again, I'm going to rip his balls off!! In order to get cheap rides, he took us to "TAT" which turned out just to be another travel agency that totally scammed us. We booked our ticket to go to Siem Reap by bus since it was too expensive to fly. We paid 2000 Baht each for return trip. Told us it was going to be a double decker and the bus ride from the border to Siem Reap would be the better and more comfortable one. NEVER EVER TRUST THE PEOPLE IN SOUTHEAST ASIA!!!!!!! If you think they're scamming you, they're DEFINITELY scamming you, if you think that they're nice and honest, they're still scamming you, and if you think that theres no way that this person is scamming you, you're just dumb because they're scamming you. Since then, everytime someone tells me something I say "Are you sure? Are you lying to me? You've been lying all these time!!" Anyways, got all our stuff booked then went back to the hostel to plan out the rest of our trip. It was a pretty chill night. Steph and I met a couple of guys and went out to RCA with them. LEts just say the rest of the night deserves its own paragraph
We met Chris (guy who was in our dorm), decided we were just gunna go explore the night life in BKK, then met these two other Canadians (VJ & Alex) and they came along for the adventure. Went to RCA and found out that it was pretty dead since it was Sunday. Thought it would be different since we're in Thailand. Curtis went to bed early again tonight. Anyways, we took the cab around. VJ asked around for other places to go and found out that there were 3... RCA, somewhere that it starts with an E, and Kao San. They said that the 2nd place was just as dead as RCA, so Steph and I said we should just go to Kao San. They obviously didnt listen, Chris was way more chill. Anyways, once we head there, and really found out that it was dead and the only club that looked busy cost 400 Baht to get in. There was no way that we would pay that much for cover when we dont even really pay that much at home. Anyways, so it ended up we left for Kao San... got ripped off by the taxi driver because he just drove around in circles and took us to this other club that looked super sketch! Once we got to Kao San road, we just walked around, went into a couple of clubs and they had 'the bucket'... so expensive... 500 Baht, a total rip off. Then we just walked around after since they were all closing. The boys and Steph shared a bag of bugs... they all tried insects, it was super gross. Took lots of pictures of them eating. It was absolutely epic! But anyways, a random Spanish guy just came up to Steph and I and started talking and being really creepy. He then ended up talking to BJ instead and tried to convince us to go to a club called "Spicy." Steph and I have heard shitty things about it from Keith so there was no way we were going. Then the Spanish guy grabbed my arm and was pulling me towards him. I freaked out and told him not to fucking touch me. Then the fucktard was like "dont freak out, hes latin... they do that." I was quite annoyed and I was about to punch them in the faces. Just because I'm short doesnt mean I wont fucking hurt someone. Anyways, the boys left for Spicy club and we came back to the hostel. Hung out with Keith and the some other girls for a bit then went to bed. We only found out later that one of the Canadians got all his shit stolen at the Spicy club. We totally laughed our heads off. BA HA HA HA HA... we said it was a bad place to go! no on believes us!
