Land of Thousands of Smiles

Been in Thailand for about two days so far. It's been really hot and humid.. I don't know how I'll be coping with the rest of the trip but I'm sure I'll adapt if I have to! Done quite a bit of interesting stuff... Counting down the days till Curtis gets here! Steph and I have just been exploring this place as much as we can! so a little about the trip

We left Taipei at 530 in the morning and arrived in BKK at about 1015am. Asked around for transportation to get to our hostel. Decided to stay at the Lub D, it's super nice and I really enjoy it... lots of really nice people here. Met a couple of new faces... At the airport, Steph had to ship a box of junk home, it cost her about 1500 BHT... oh well, shit happens! But it was funny how long it took for us to get things stuffed in the box. Once we were ready to leave the airport, we took the airport express bus to the hostel... it cost about 150 BHT per person! Once we were ready to get out and explore, we headed to a skytrain station, but on the way to the station, we met this taxi driver that took us to two different export shops so that he can get gasoline coupons, I have learned that the people here really like coupons! However, he didnt charge us anything for the ride! We went to MBK to shop and look around... kinda got lost in the mall, it was super big! I bought a pair of Thai pants because you aren't allowed to wear shorts or sleeveless in Temples. Anyways, Steph bargained for all our stuff.. I'm not very good at it because I feel bad about being such a cheapo! After MBK, we went to the night market to check things out, things were super cheap but I didn't buy anything. It would've all been junk anyways! The night market was also not as good as the one in Taiwan. Once we were done with it, decided to take the tuk tuk home as an experience, I thought I was going to fucking die!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so scary!!!!! but we got a deal I guess... got back to the hostel and met a couple of people.. hung out and went to watch the ping pong show.. anyways, have to head to Pattaya right... more to come!! stay tuned!
